The world of Palia is beautiful and mysterious. The more you explore it, the more questions you will have. Fortunately, the game has many quests that will lift the veil of secrecy step by step. One of these Palia quests is A Catalyzing Caper. During this, you will have to go through an ancient dungeon filled with puzzles and, of course, treasures. But you need to be careful not to miss them.
A Catalyzing Caper Walkthrough
Before the A Catalyzing Caper quest becomes available to you in Palia, you will have to help Hassian find out where his companion runs away at night. And once you complete the Plumehound Pilgrimage quest, you can begin A Catalyzing Caper. However, it is much more complex than the previous one, so you need to follow these steps so as not to miss anything:
- Talk to Hassian Inside the Mysterious Temple
Follow the map marker and return to the temple in Bahari Bay. Hassian and Sifuu will be waiting for you inside. However, Tau ran deep into the temple, and you have to find him.
- Solve the Braziers Puzzle
On the sides of the room, there are 6 braziers with different icons. There are the same icons on the arches under the ceiling. Shoot the braziers with a bow in the same order as the icons on the ceiling (the order is from the entrance to the second door)
- Solve the Mural Puzzle
After entering the central temple, go to the right and enter the mysterious Chamber. There you need to interact with the statue and then talk to Sifuu to get Sifuu’s Torch. Light it at the brazier and then light the brazier on the wall near the Mural to open the passage. You should remember the order of the Murals on your path.
- Go Through the Mazes
The next puzzle in A Catalyzing Caper quest is 3 mazes. They’re pretty easy, so you’ll get through them without any problems. However, you better explore every corner of the mazes, as you can find Ancient Treasure Chests there.
The third maze is a parkour track where you need to jump and climb. Don’t forget to use the glider for a long jump. By completing each of the mazes you will light a brazier with Sifuu’s Torch to open Mural doors. When you have lit up the last brazier, return to the central room. - Open the Final Chamber
Talk to Hassian to find out about the blocked door. Then check all the Murals in the room. Each of them has icons like in the first puzzle. Use the order of Murals you saw in the mazes and shoot the bow at the hanging brazier near the door where Hassian is standing. Sifuu can remind you of the order if you forget something.
- Solve the Final Puzzle
Entering the last chamber you will finally find Tau. But a river of lava separates you. Interact with the statue to learn that you need to take a leap of faith. Jump and use the glider. Of course, you won’t reach the platform. But an invisible bridge will save you from the lava, so you will be fine. Then you need to solve the last puzzle in A Catalyzing Caper quest. Just move the squares to get the correct Kitsuu image.
After this, you will see a cutscene where another pedestal in the Night Sky Temple will light up. Talk to your companions to get their impressions of the adventure to complete the A Catalyzing Caper quest in Palia. As a reward, you will receive 30 Renown and improve your relationship with Hassian and Tau.
