There are so many different quests in Starfield that it might be a little difficult to keep up with them. For all you know, your quest list is piling up so high that you don’t even know where to start. If you happen to be in New Atlantis on Jemison, then chances are that you’ve been in The Wells and have already met Louisa. After having shut off junction boxes for her in the Tapping the Grid quest, she’ll have you do another titled Alternating Currents. We’re going to show you how to complete Alternating Currents below.

Following Louisa will take you directly to the Trade Authority in The Wells, where she will have an argument with Kaminski, the employee there. Kaminski will report that the reason Lousia is there, because of a large surge in power being used, is not coming from there, despite the fact that Louisa’s findings led her there. Louisa will then ask you to find a junction box within The Wells to see if that is the problem. You will need your boost pack to get up there, as it’s at the end of a broken-down walkway at the top of The Wells. After this, you will need to locate another junction box within the residential district of New Atlantis. Specifically to the left of Athena Tower.

Louisa will then ask you to go into the tower to see if you can go to the top floor to find the power anomaly. When you get there, you will find a locked door that requires a Novice skill level to open. If you brought a Digipick, then this shouldn’t be an issue. Once inside, you must go into the Unauthorized Computer that you find. Looking through the files, you will see that there is a large file being installed to an external drive, causing the issue. You will then be promoted to return and give the evidence to either Louisa or Kaminski.

Should You Help Louisa Or Kaminski in Starfield?

Neither of the two will be better off with the evidence, so it won’t really matter who you give it to. Regardless of who you decide to help with this information, you will receive the following reward:

  • 2,500 credits
  • 75 XP

That’s everything you’re going to want to know about how to complete Alternating Currents in Starfield.
