Purah thinks that you’ve been called out by Princess Zelda herself. You must join the search for Princess Zelda.

The first thing you’ll need to do is navigate to the Hyrule Castle. The Hyrule Castle is almost impossible to miss, as it is raised up above the ground and surrounded by Gloom.

Inside the gates, you will come across a man holding up a sign. You don’t need to help him, but the rewards are worth it. Use your Ultrahand Power to move a support beam under the end of the sign that keeps falling.

Once you’ve placed a support under the one end of it, you can speak to the man again and let him know that he can release the sign. After this, he will reward you will several different items and some currency as well.

While you are in this area, it would be wise to loot as much gear as you can and even cook some food at the campfire.

Before you head into the gates of Hyrule Castle, you can complete the Kyonosis Shrine, as it’s within the same area you are in.

Finding Captain Hoz in Hyrule Castle

Once you’re ready to move on, go to the main gates on the opposite side of the bridge. Here, you will find that your Ultrahand Power comes in handy when it comes to opening the large doors. Follow the path up to the Hyrule Castle’s First Gatehouse. Here, you can find some weapons, including a Soup Ladle, oddly enough.

Once you’ve collected everything you want from here, head outside and climb the side of the First Gatehouse. Alternatively, you can also use your Ascend Power from inside the gatehouse in order to ascend to the roof.

Up top, you will find Hoz. Upon speaking to Hoz, you learn some things about what’s been going on in your absence. Before the conversation is over, you and Hoz both experience a Zelda sighting that leaves everyone rather confused. Though, it gives everyone hope, nonetheless.

Your next task in Crisis at Hyrule Castle is to return to Purah at Lookout Landing and report your findings. Granted, Purah may not fully believe you at first. Rather than trying to pinpoint the princess’s location, Purah suggests you focus on the Upheaval for now and let’s you know that she needs to add map data to your Purah Pad first.

In the meantime, she tells you to go speak to a guard standing in the center of Lookout Landing, who will open up the Emergency Shelter for you. Head over and speak to Scorpis, then head down inside for this portion of Crisis at Hyrule Castle in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Within the shelter, you can talk to many people, collect gear, and begin the Today’s Menu side quest. Speak to everyone and make your way to the empty bed and lie down to sleep.

When you wake up, head back up the ladder. From there, go to the Skyview Tower, where you will find Purah standing inside, waiting for you. Purah will ask for your Purah Pad and have you hold it over a terminal inside of the Skyview Tower.

This will activate that specific Skyview Tower on your map and allow you to fast travel back to it in the future. If you’re one of the many players who have been wondering when you will get the paraglider in Tears of the Kingdom, now is the time! Purah will give you a paraglider and have you fly up into the sky to scan your surroundings so that your map can be updated with the data necessary to view it from your Purah Pad.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
