The Key Ingredient is one of the last missions of the Ryujin Industries faction, during which the story’s outcome is gradually revealed. After the Guilty Parties quest, the tension between the faction’s top leaders is growing, and you must handle it directly. Next, we are going to show you how to complete The Key Ingredient in Starfield. This is an interesting mission because you’ll need to get the Ryujin Rothicite Shipment, which is not so easy. It involves visiting many locations and fighting with Ecliptic representatives, but don’t worry; we know how to complete it quickly and easily.

To start the quest, you will need to visit Ryujin Towers. This is not surprising, as it is where the Ryujin Industries faction is based. The next step is to find Veena Kalra’s office, which is located on the R&D floor. Take the elevator and go to the location where Veena Kalra, Camden Cho, and Masako Imada will be waiting for you.

Approach them and start a conversation, during which they will explain the main objectives of the task. As it turns out, Infinity LTD has stolen the manipulative part of the neuroamp. Without it, they will not be able to install a unique technology in your brain that will protect you from the effects of Project Dominion. The main component that you need to find is Rothicite, and you will spend significant effort searching for it. The starting point you need to visit is CM Station RC-1 on Carinae III-A, so get in your starship and go searching for it.

Research on Carinae III-A

Reaching here is straightforward, as Carinae III-A is a moon of the planet Carinae, which is located in the Eta Cassiopeia Star System. Once in orbit, zoom in to find and land near CM Station RC-1. Before exiting the ship, we recommend choosing a spacesuit to protect you from solar radiation. After exiting the ship, head to Consolidated Mining, which is located right next to the landing site. You will encounter many Ecliptic soldiers on your way, so you will have to kill them. Go up the stairs outside, and after you enter, go to the next room, where the elevator is located.

Using the elevator, you will get to the mining site. Here again, Ecliptic will be waiting for you, so kill them all to clear the way and get to the next elevator. This path will lead you to the CM Station RC-1 Computer. After analyzing the information, it turns out that someone canceled the delivery of Rothicite. The next clue can be found by robbing the corpse of one of the Ecliptic Specialists.

Finding the note you need; you will learn that Lucas Drexier of Infinity LTD is involved in the incident. This is incriminating evidence against one of the moles. To continue the mission, you’ll need to visit the Narion Star Clinic to find out more information.

This place is located in the Narion system in the Deepala orbit. This is where you will find the Clinic station floating in space. When you get inside, you need to go to the Secure Wing, but it’s not that simple because there is a guard standing at the entrance. You will need to deceive him using persuasion skills, and it’s not difficult to do. Select the following dialogue options:

  1. Orange
  2. Green
  3. Green

This way, you will persuade him to let you in, and you will be able to proceed to the main task. Once inside, you can complete an optional task that involves talking to Dr. Lane. Regardless of which of the dialog options you choose, you will eventually learn that Infinity LTD is conducting experiments on people unsuccessfully, as almost everyone has already died. If you talk to him directly about everything that’s going on, you can complete the next objective without any problems.

The last thing you need to do here is to steal the Rothicite shipment. It is on the table next to the microscope, not far from Dr. Lane. Take it but be prepared for the fact that if Dr. Lane notices the theft, you will be attacked by the guards. If you speak with the Doctor about Infinity LTD, there will be no such problem.

When you rob the clinic and reach the ship, head back to Veena and the others to completeย The Key Ingredient quest in Starfield. Here are the rewards you will receive:

  • Experience x250
  • Credits x4000
  • Digipicks x3
  • Med Pack
