The Domizuin Shrine’s “A Prone Pathway” puzzle turns a relatively simple mechanic into a bewildering challenge in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This Shrine involves rotating a giant cube inside a spacious chamber using two controls. An external device swerves the cubicle structure horizontally, while another inside the giant block rolls it vertically. Using these two controls, you need to reach three Treasure Chests and make it to the top of the cube. At the top, you’ll find a pathway leading to the Light of Blessing.

Domizuin Shrine, also misread as “Domain Shrine” in Tears of the Kingdom, is located south of the Akkala Citadel Ruins of the Akkala Highlands region. Specifically, the coordinates are 3305, 1443, 0426, slightly north of the South Akkala Plains, where you’ll also find the South Akkala Plains Chasm. Another notable landmark is the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, which sits far north of the “A Prone Pathway” Shrine.

It’s possible to clear the Domizuin Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom within less than two minutes if your sole focus is to rush to the end. However, several calculated steps must be taken if you wish to reach and open the chests of the Shrine. Do note that the chests can be opened from the top, meaning you don’t need to stand parallel to their containers to loot them.

To access the giant cube in the “A Prone Pathway” puzzle, enter the Shrine and use Link’s Ascend ability to reach the elevated walkway. Next, approach the rotation device, strike it once, and go into the colossal box.

Treasure Chest 1 – Arrow ×10

The first Treasure Chest of the Tears of the Kingdom Domizuin Shrine can be found atop an elevated platform to the right.

  1. Before interacting with the control device that rolls the cube, stand under the elevated blocks on the right.
  2. Use Ascend to clip through the solid blocks to the chest above.
  3.  Loot the chest to receive a small quiver of Arrows. You can use them later to strike the rotation device from a distance.

Treasure Chest 2 – Zonai Charge

To reach the second Domizuin Shrine Treasure Chest, perform the following steps:

  1. Approach the central arrow device and strike it once.
  2. Strike it again to roll the cube over a second time.
  3. Look out the opening to your left to see a platform leading to another chest containing a Zonai Charge.

You might have seen the third Treasure Chest on a platform after striking the central device a second time. To get to this chest in “A Prone Pathway,” you have two options:

  1. Stand right under the third chest.
  2. Aim your bow at the control mechanism and fire, causing the cube to spin vertically.
  3. Following the “gravity of the situation,” Link will slide onto the same platform as the chest.

Alternatively, you can perform this method as well:

  1. Stand next to the control device, but have Link face the third chest.
  2. Hit the device and immediately rush toward the wall in the direction the chest is moving to. Using your paraglider here might help.
  3. Link will slide off the wall and onto the chest’s position.

Once you have opened all the chests in Domizuin Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, you must reach the top of the cube to leave. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the longest or tallest platform stack inside the cube.
  2. Position the inside of the giant box so that the towering platform faces upward, with a small gap at the bottom. Use your bow to shoot the external control device if necessary.
  3. Stand under the tallest stack of blocks and use Ascend to reach the top.
  4. Acquire the Light of Blessing to exit.
