Need to know how to complete One Hit Wonder in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Unlike the nearby Ancient City Gorondia mission, this quest challenges players to break an ore with just one blow. Those who do so will then earn rare resources that can be sold for hundreds of Rupees. That said, not many weapons allow Link to finish the side quest. This guide will examine how to complete One Hit Wonder and what it rewards in Tears of the Kingdom.

Firstly, you can begin the One Hit Wonder side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by speaking to an NPC named Parcy near the South Akkala Stable, located southeast of the Akkala region’s Death Mountain. Upon doing so, Parcy will tease Link that if he can break a nearby ore in just a single hit, he will be rewarded with the resources that come out of it. Thus, this side quest can only be completed by using a weapon with a high-strength stat or one that has the Demolisher buff. No matter their stat, weapons with this special buff are guaranteed to break boulders and ores in one hit. If you choose to swing with a weaker weapon, Parcy will ultimately stop you from breaking the rock, and the mission will need to be restarted.
We highly recommend completing One Hit Wonder by using a Cobble Crusher, one of the few weapons with Demolisher. As marked below, the nearest Cobble Crusher lies within a chest on the south end of Death Mountain. Be forewarned, it is guarded by two armored Bokoblin and a Moblin, so be sure to bring some health supplies along. However, some may find it best to quickly grab the Cobble Crusher and use it on the nearby enemies. After that’s done, you can jump down the cliff to glide back to Parcy and break the ore.
Surprisingly, your rewards will vary when you complete the One Hit Wonder side quest. For instance, you are guaranteed to earn at least one Diamond, but there is also a chance the ore gives you Sapphire or Topaz. Thus, you may want to save the game beforehand to ensure you can start over and get additional rewards. After the quest is over, Parcy will run to a nearby campfire and reveal how to separate fused weapons.
