Learn how to complete Ousting the Giants in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and help Kampo save his stable. The stables have always been a place for Link to rest and trade. It’s time to defeat not one but three giant Hinox brothers to continue servicing the Lakeside Stable south of Faron.

To start this sidequest, head to the southeastern region of Faron. Specifically, teleport to the Skyview Tower nearby and glide to Floria Lake’s shores. Another viable route involves accessing the Joju-u-u shrine near the stable.

Upon reaching the location, you will encounter a stable and an NPC named Kampo. After concluding this conversation, you will have accepted the mission and will be tasked with defeating the three Hinox brothers.

Once you’ve started the mission, these three markers will appear, allowing you to choose where to begin. This guide will proceed from the easiest to the most challenging, and you can track the location of each enemy on your map.

In this game, the enemy’s difficulty is indicated by their color. Red enemies are the easiest to beat, blue enemies signify moderate difficulty, and black enemies are more formidable opponents. However, it’s important to note that the mechanics for defeating each enemy type remain the same.

The first cave is the Rodai Lakefront Tunnel. Here, you’ll find the younger brother of the Hinox located in Necluda West.

Upon reaching the cave, you’ll encounter a waterfall. Descend into the water and proceed through the dark tunnel. To illuminate the cave, shoot Brightbloom seeds throughout the area. Look for a tree trunk where you’ll find the Hinox resting nearby.

The middle brother is situated in Corta Lake Cave, west of Necluda. This cave is filled with gusts of wind. Utilize these wind gusts to navigate through the cave until you reach the Hinox’s location.

Finally, search for the older Hinox brother, who is napping in Calora Lake Cave.

To start a fight with either Hinox brothers, you can hold down the Y button and unleash a charged hit. The first hit serves as the starting blow. The subsequent hit should target the Hinox’s eye when it is awake.

Acting swiftly is crucial because if a Hinox realizes you are aiming at its eye, it will shield it with its hand. When your shot successfully connects, you’ll notice that the Hinox becomes stunned and falls. Take advantage of this opportunity to beat until it awakens.

Afterward, swiftly evade the Hinox’s attacks by moving away, and then resume your offensive. Hinoxes tend to carry various items on their person. Once the battle concludes, collect everything they drop as part of your reward.

Once you have defeated all three Hinox brothers, return to Kampo, and he will reward your efforts with a delicious banana meal to restore your energy.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
