The Clipped Wings DMZ mission is a Tier 1 Shadow Company faction objective. In this Shadow assignment, you have to destroy some reinforcement helicopters in DMZ. And for that, you might need some firepower. This is while we have two methods in this guide to deal with this mission. You should also note that this mission takes place on Ashika Island. Ready for battling some unfriendly birds, soldier? Let’s get started.

  • Kill 3 reinforcement helicopters on Ashika Island DMZ.

So as you can see, this mission has got only one objective. But remember that by killing reinforcement helicopters, it means that you need to destroy them. Now there are two ways of destroying the enemy choppers in DMZ.

Method 1: Using an RPG

This is something that you probably think of it in the first place. All you need to do is bring in a rocket launcher and enter the map. The next thing you need to do is to cause havoc and kill as many enemy AI soldiers as you can. After pushing them back, they’ll send some reinforcements by a chopper. Lock, shoot, and destroy three of these helicopters to finish the Clipped Wings DMZ mission.

Method 2: Capture the SAM sites

This one is much easier and better than shooting down the helicopters manually. For this option, you must open your tac map and look for a missile-looking icon for SAM sites. Get near them, and interact with its console to initiate the capture sequence. After that, you’ll have to deal with lots of enemy AI soldiers who want to prevent you from capturing the POI.

After defending your position and the capturing timer has finished, the SAM site will be yours. Now, anything that passes the air in that area will be shot down by the massive rocket launcher you just snatched! The good thing is you don’t need to control or do anything. Just relax and enjoy the helicopter burning scene to finish the Clipped Wings DMZ mission.

Remember, this mission is not about taking out the Helo Commander in DMZ. The reinforcement helicopters are the ones that spawn and bring enemy AI soldiers when you kill too many of them. In the end, when you complete the Clipped Wings DMZ mission, you’ll gain 5K worth of XP and a Bryson 890 Contraband shotgun.

Warzone 2 DMZ Season 5 is now available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
