This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Even though exploring abandoned locations will confront you with many creatures that want you dead, one of them is relatively on your side and even pays you a salary. The mysterious Jeb, aka Tentacle Monster, lives on Gordion and never leaves its stall in Lethal Company. Players who decide to sell some Scrap will see only its long tentacles, which raises many questions. No one knows whether Jeb is an employee of The Company, its owner, or a monster that devoured the previous merchant. But we do not recommend approaching the counter without knowing the habits of this creature.

As we said earlier, Jeb is a merchant in Lethal Company but is also known as an irritable Tentacle Monster capable of killing the player for one wrong move. You can find this guy on Gordion Moon and start trading once you find the small red window. All you have to do is go to the window and place all the Scrap on the counter. After that, click on the bell on the table and wait a few seconds before Jeb gives you your money.

But if you are not willing to be patient, you will probably have to die. If the player doesn’t wait a few seconds after pressing the bell and repeats this several times, Jeb will get angry and kill you. More precisely, you will see much longer tentacles that will grab a nearby player and pull it into the building. But if you’re prepared for the action, you can run away and watch as the tentacles search for their prey and then hide in the store.

It is worth noting that Jeb is irritated not only by the bell but also by any other loud noises. So if there are a lot of loud sounds around the counter and you press the bell, the Tentacle Monster will pick you up.

Can You Kill Jeb?

Unfortunately, Jeb is an immortal merchant who cannot be killed by any means. However, you shouldn’t really want to try since it is just a merchant who won’t attack unless you annoy it. But it is also worth understanding that Lethal Company is a relatively young game, and future updates may make this merchant mortal.

On the other hand, you can use its feature against newbie friends. Since Jeb’s aggressive behavior is integrated into everyday gameplay, new players won’t expect any aggression. You only need to tell them that the merchant will pick up their Scrap only after 3-4 quick bell presses. They will probably listen to you, after which you can laugh at their reaction to what is happening.
