Sneakstrike is one of the combat moves learned in one of many Zelda Tears of the Kingdom shrines. It is a massive upgrade to basic attacks as it multiplies your damage. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s combat is based on swinging your sword or whatever abomination you have created by fusing a tree branch and a rock. However, there is more to it, as you can combine attacks for more damage. Performing Sneakstrike demands a bit of skill and lots of patience. This guide will show you how to do a Sneakstrike in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

To perform a Sneakstrike in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to sneak up on your enemy behind its back. Press the left thumbstick on your controller or Joy-Con to crouch slowly and carefully sneak up, and when you are in range, you will be prompted to press Y to do a Sneakstrike in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Link will learn this battle move while in Sinatanika Shrine. This shrine is located in Akkala Highlands in East Akkala Plains. Once you enter the shrine, you will immediately receive a notice that it is combat training and that you will learn how to do a Sneakstrike in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

An enemy is in the center of the arena and is on the lookout, scanning the area. You will need to be really careful when approaching it. Remember its movements, and once you are sure where he is headed next, slowly go behind him while crouching. When you are close enough, there will be a prompt to press Y and do a Sneakstrike.

You will need to repeat the entire sequence from the entrance if you don’t do a Sneakstrike in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom successfully. Once you learn this combat move, you will be able to use it against opponents while exploring the vast world of Hyrule. Just like in training, approach the enemy from behind. You will need to crouch and walk slowly so you don’t disturb your next victim. Once in range, a Sneakstrike prompt will appear, and once you land a hit, you will deal 8x normal damage.

If an enemy spots you before you are able to do a Sneakstrike in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to seek a place and hide from it or jump into combat, but that is the last resort if there are no places to hide.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
