After encountering the Turks in the Mythril Mine, things quickly got out of hand. While the team was able to corner the Shinra employees for a moment, the enemies quickly turned the tide and separated the group. Now, Barret and Red XIII have fallen into the lowest level in the Mythril Mine, and the two must find a way out. Although this section in FF7 Rebirth is supposed to be straightforward, some players may struggle to escape the depths and exit the Mythril Mine as Barret.
FF7 Rebirth Escaping the Depths Guide
You must use Barret’s Gattling Gun to destroy the minerals that block your path to escape the depths in FF7 Rebirth. Most of the ores will also drop materials when broken, so it’s a good idea to shoot all of them.
Head to the map’s northeast side to find the path to exit the Mythril Mine. Two monster Flan will roam this area, and you can attack them using Fire magic. Once it is safe, you can climb the yellow-painted rocks to reach the upper level.
In the middle of your climb, you will encounter a platform on your right side. You can drop to this section to gather some materials, but this is not the path to escape the depths in FF7 Rebirth. You must continue moving upward until reaching a higher platform to your left.
At this point, you must destroy all the rocks in this section to open the way forward. You have to break a large rock and a chunk of crystal on the upper right side of this platform to allow Barret to climb up.
Some players may get stuck on this section since the climbable wall is not obvious, even with the yellow paint. Once you climb this rock, you should be able to escape the depths and enter the Excavation Site in FF7 Rebirth.
