On November 12, 2022, Pokémon GO will launch its highly-anticipated Teddiursa Community Day event, during which Trainers not only can encounter an abundance of Teddiursas but also have the opportunity to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna. For those unfamiliar, Ursaring is the evolution form of Teddiursa once the small cub has been given 50 Candies. However, this pocket monster family’s third evolution, Ursaluna, has only been available in Legends: Arceus and Pokémon Sword & Shield, but not Pokémon GO. Fortunately, fans no longer have to “bear” the wait, as the day has finally come when they can evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna in Pokémon GO.
Evolving Ursaring into Ursaluna in Pokémon GO
To evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna in Pokémon GO, players must participate in Teddiursa Community Day, which starts on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. and ends on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 6:00 a.m. local time. During this event, a full moon will appear in the AR realm, enabling Trainers to evolve their Ursaring only for a limited period.
According to an official blog post by Pokémon GO, “Once the moon sets, Trainers will only be able to evolve their Ursaring to Ursaluna when the moon is full again.” In other words, it will be some time before an event similar to the Teddiursa Community Day will occur again. Therefore, players must ensure to take a few minutes off from their busy schedule on November 12 to evolve their Ursaring in Pokémon GO, as the chance might not return for a long while. Trainers must gather 100 Teddiursa Candy to initiate the evolution. While this is a massive amount of Candy, the encounters from the Teddiursa Community Day event should provide enough Candy for the evolution.
Several notable bonuses are also in order during this Community Day in Pokémon GO. These bonuses include Stardust and Catch Candy buffs that bolster the amount of currency earned when catching pocket monsters. Lure Modules and Incenses will have their durations increased substantially, and high-level Trainers will have a higher chance of acquiring XL Candy. Finally, Trades between Trainers will also receive a buff, increasing the Special Trade limit to two and requiring 50% less Stardust per Trade.
