Glow Lampyrite is one of the most sought-after crafting materials in Soulframe, especially for players looking to upgrade equipment and prepare for tougher enemies and challenges later in the game. While it can seem rare at first, there are several ways to farm Glow Lampyrite efficiently once you know where to look.
What is Glow Lampyrite for?
Glow Lampyrite is a rare material described as a phosphorescent powder formed from the husks of glowsprites. Its main crafting purpose is the creation of Lilting Chordstones, with each Chordstone requiring four Glow Lampyrite. Lilting Chordstones, for the record, allow you to upgrade your Weapon’s Craftwork tier from Officer to Noble.
Best Sources of Glow Lampyrite
For a consistent farm, your best bet is to go for the Cogah (hard mode) Agari “bosses” or elite foes all across Midrath. They are beefed-up and more dangerous versions of regular enemies, and oftentimes announce their presence with their own boss HP meter shown at the top of the screen whenever you encounter them. The following Agari can drop Glow Lampyrite when defeated:
Boss / Elite Enemy
---
Discharged Nimrod
Etheldred the Weaver
Flayed Reaper
Fore-Feller Hewyl
Gourdo
Gruul Seeker Ruthos
Gruul Seeker Sontaro
Kabocha
Knell Knight
Seachnall the Widower
Sinecure-errant Gawth
Sinecure-errant Vella
The Mendicant King
Thrice-bound Impidh
Wraith of Wastes
You don’t need to worry about finding them since these bosses will be revealed on the map once you’ve consumed The Cogah Elixir and entered Cogah mode. Of course, try to maximize Cogah once you’re in it, or you might end up wasting Cogah Elixirs.
Since Cogah is Soulframe‘s hard mode, it might be better to farm the Cogah Agari bosses as a squad or with the help of other players. In Cogah mode, the enemy level is increased to 40 or higher and becomes increasingly difficult the more Agari you slay. Each Cogah Agari boss yields around 1-4 Glow Lamyprite per kill.
Other Sources of Glow Lamyprite
For many, the thought of facing Cogah Agari enemies might be daunting, especially if you’re fresh into the Soulframe‘s current late-game content. Luckily, there are other sources of Glow Lampyrite, though one of them relies too much on RNG.
- Break the following containers, each container usually yields one (1) Glow Lampyrite:
- Amber Deposit
- Basic Chests in Glades and Undercities
- Dendrit Chests in Glades and Undercities
- Dismantle Ode’n or Mendicant weapons of Noble or higher Craftwork (Noble, Sovereign, Legendary)
Remember that for each Lilting Chordstone, you will need four Glow Lampyrite, along with nine Quenching Acid, and 20 Whisprig. You’ll also need 400 Dracs and a one-hour crafting wait.
