Stranded Deep is a survival game where players have to survive by scavenging resources and crafting items. Barrels are one of the essential resources. They can be used to craft tools and weapons and provide materials for building structures. Finding Barrels is not always easy, but a few methods can help you find them. This guide will tell you how to find Barrels in Stranded Deep.
What Are Barrels?
(Updated on September 30, 2024 – updated links and format)
Barrels can be found in the game and provide a valuable source of Barrel Scrap when broken apart. They require any sharp tool to break apart, such as axes or knives, and drop three Barrel Scraps once destroyed.
Additionally, Barrels cannot be stored in the inventory or dragged around; players must approach them directly. Variants of Barrels include Tyre Piles and Buoy Balls which may vary visually compared to traditional Barrels but share the same gameplay mechanics.
How to Find Barrels in Stranded Deep?
You can find Barrels in Stranded Deep from shipwrecks scattered near the beach. Here are the steps you need to follow to get your hands on some barrels.
- Go to a Shipwreck. Barrels are usually stacked on the Deck or inside the Ship. You must explore the Ship’s interior and exterior to find them.
- Once you have found them, use your Axe to unpack the barrels.
- Click the Right mouse button to pick them. If you are on the Deck, you can press the Left mouse button to throw them to the beach.
Also, Barrels float on the water. So if you find it inside the Ship, you can bring them back to the island by pushing them on the water’s surface. You can get two to three Barrels at once.
Barrels are a valuable resource. Not only do they provide much-needed sustenance, but they also provide access to crafted goods and structures. Collecting enough barrels can put players on the path to comfort and safety, allowing them to prepare the handy hobo stove for cooked food and establish a raft base to build their raft. This essential tool can help remove some of the strain of living off the land while still giving players all the thrills of being shipwrecked on a beautiful desert island.
