Want to know where to find Chitin in Smalland: Survive the Wilds? To survive and become the strongest in the Smalland world, you must travel, collect, and craft a lot. After all, even the smallest ants and beetles see you as their food, and you must explain to them that this is not so. Soon after you start your journey, you will realize that it is time to upgrade your equipment a little, and you will need Chitin for this. To find Chitin in Smalland: Survive the Wilds, you’ll have to kill a couple of Sawyer Beetles, and luckily you won’t have to go far from the spawn.
Where to Find Chitin in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
As we said, to get Chitin in Smalland: Survive the Wilds, you must kill Sawyer Beetles and collect a large piece of Chitin next to his corpse. To find these bugs, go to the southwestern part of the game world, and search the trees near the beach. If you’re new to the game and don’t have winged armor, be careful not to fall. Sometimes Sawyer Beetles sit on the edge of a branch, and you have to stand on the very edge to get to them. Although looking a little longer, you will find a few bugs on the safer parts of the tree or near its roots.
Even though the Sawyer Beetles have strong armor, you can kill them with a starting wooden weapon. Chitin is your second-stage material after Wood, so it’s easy to get.
It is worth noting that Sawyer Beetles are relatively peaceful and will often not attack you until you attack them. But as soon as you try to kill them, Sawyer Beetles will fight back. In this case, you have two options: fight or retreat. If you already have at least some armor, you can enter into an open battle. Beware of this beetle’s lunges and attack it when it retreats.
But if you are new and only have a Wood Club, attack the Sawyer Beetles and immediately retreat. Wait until the beetle loses interest in you and repeat this action. It will take a long time to kill the Sawyer Beetles, but you can get some Chitin without risking your HP.
