As with other online games, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, players sometimes can encounter mysterious error messages; some indicate server or connection problems while others could mean that there is something wrong with your game files. One of the latter is Dev Error 11152. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about and how to fix Dev Error 11152 in COD: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
What is Dev Error 11152?

COD Modern Warfare 2 – How to Fix Dev Error 11152
As mentioned above, Dev Error 11152 will only show up when there are corrupted game files that prevent you from properly running the game. That means, there are not many solutions that you can take to fix this issue.
1. Repair or Verify Integrity of Modern Warfare 2 Files (PC)
PC players can easily repair missing or broken game files through the Steam or Battle.net launchers.
Here’s how you can repair the game files through Steam:
- Go to the Library.
- Select COD: Modern Warfare 2.
- Click the gear icon (Manage menu) on the right-hand side of your screen. Or right-click COD: Modern Warfare 2 from your games list.
- Pick Local Files.
- Choose Verify integrity of game files… menu.
And here’s how you can repair the game files through Battle.net:
- Open the Battle.net desktop application.
- Click on the COD: Modern Warfare 2 icon.
- Click the gear icon next to the Play button, and choose the Scan and repair option.
- You’ll need to reinstall the game if there are any missing or corrupted files.
2. Delete and Reinstall Modern Warfare 2 (Console)
Unfortunately, console players on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS5, or PS4 don’t have another choice but to completely delete and reinstall the whole COD Modern Warfare 2 game in order to fix the Dev Error 11152 message. A clean installation with the latest update should ensure that the game no longer has corrupted files and that all the necessary files are installed.
3. Change the Language to Arabic
However, Reddit user Plenty-Ad-7693 claimed that changing the game’s language to Arabic — for some reason — can temporarily fix the problem. According to Plenty-Ad-7693, you should try playing the game in Arabic for a while, a mission until you get to a checkpoint, then change the language back to English. Worth a shot if you don’t want to redownload around 50 Gigs of data again.
