The Cutthroat Fang is a legendary item required for forging and upgrading different tools in the game. Currently, the only way to get your hands on one is to complete a side quest called Saga Illustrated: Veil. In this quest, you must face Maglielle once again.
To unlock the quest, you must have reached the Zegagrande Legend rank. Reaching that rank means you must finish the post-game story, defeat the Bahamut Versa Omega, and finish the Veteran Skyfarere Rank Up quest. After you’ve reached the required rank, you have to complete the Saga Continues: Silver quest to unlock the Saga Illustrated: Veil.
