This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

It’s rare to find games like Grand Theft Auto V that survive the test of time. After over a decade, the game holds strong thanks to GTA Online and the crowd it breeds, especially the role-playing sort. There’s no shortage of what you can do. By now, you’ve stolen plenty of vehicles. But have you ever acquired a fire truck? You have two ways to get a fire truck in GTA Online. Are they legal? Of course not. But that’s the fun of it all.

The most obvious way you can get a fire truck and feel like a real fireman is by stealing one. Your first choice is to call emergency services via your cellphone. Do that by taking the following steps:

  1. Open the phone and select Contacts
  2. Go to Emergency Services and select Fire Department
  3. Wait for the fire truck to arrive.
  4. Steal it.

And there you have it—your very own fire truck in GTA Online. Now, you can rush around on your own or with friends, pretending to save the day. Or maybe you can just speed through, crashing into any car (or person) that you can just for the sake of it. You can even use the hose, which may just be the most exciting aspect of this.

Remember, though: emergency services will not send help if you’re wanted. Be sure you’re playing nicely, as it’s the only way to open the door to thievery.

Looting the Fire Station

You can always head to a fire station in GTA Online and steal a truck directly. The fire stations are listed below:

  • Davis Fire Station (Los Santos)
  • El Burro Heights Fire Station (El Burro Heights)
  • Paleto Bay Fire Station (Paleto Bay)
  • Rockford Hills Fire Station (Los Santos)
  • Sandy Shores Fire Station (Sandy Shores)

Any of these stations can have several fire trucks parked. It’s almost as if they’re waiting for you.

Buying a Fire Truck

If all else fails, you can buy a fire truck in GTA Online. Warstock Cache & Carry sells the MTL Fire Truck for $3,295,000 ($2,471,250 for heist leaders). It’s a sure way to get your hands on a shiny new fire truck. But if you want to save your money, the best thing you can do is to just steal it. That’s what Grand Theft Auto is all about, right?

GTA Online is available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
