This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

With the release of The Indigo Disk DLC, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have seen a surge of many new and old pocket monsters. And while many are eager to catch the exclusive Paradox Pokemon, we should not forget about the veterans of this universe, one of which is the Seadra family. Introduced in Gen 1, Horsea and Seadra became favorites of many Water-type trainers, and after the release of the dual Water/Dragon-type Kingdra in Gen 2, this family has forever settled in the hearts of the players. Luckily, Horsea, Seadra, and Kingdra have finally arrived in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and we’ll show you how to get and evolve them.

The only place you can meet Horsea and Seadra is the Blueberry Academy Terrarium, added in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with The Indigo Disk DLC. You can find these Pokemon in any body of water in the Snowy Polar and Craggy Canyon Biomes and the central pools of the Tropical Coastal Biome. Finding both representatives of this family will not be difficult, except Seadra spawns a little less often.

However, you can always catch Horsea and evolve it into Seadra once it reaches level 32. Use this Pokemon in battles, and you will quickly reach the required level.

How To Evolve Seadra into Kingdra and Rhyperior in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

While getting Seadra shouldn’t be a problem, adding Kingdra to your Pokédex will require more effort. On the one hand, this Pokemon does not require a specific level to evolve, which makes the task easier. On the other hand, you will have to complete the following steps to evolve Seadra into Kingdra:

  • Get the Dragon Scale item and give it to Seadra.
  • While your Pokemon is holding this item, trade it with another trainer.
  • During the exchange, Seadra evolves into Kingdra.
  • Trade again to get your Kingdra.

It is best to look for players who want to get this Pokemon like you. In this case, you should use the trade code – 2054-2054. Alternatively, you must make an additional trade and look for a reliable player who won’t deceive you.

How To Get Dragon Scale in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Finding a Dragon Scale should not be an obstacle to evolution if you have spent at least a few hours in the DLC because you can get this item in three ways:

  • Firstly, you can find Dragon Scale in a random Pokeball in any biome.
  • Also, when you catch a Seadra in the wild, there is a small chance it will hold this item.
  • Finally, you can visit the School Store in the Blueberry Academy and buy this item for 250 Blueberry Points.
