Getting Conflagrant Sacs in Monster Hunter World is something that many players will want to do to upgrade most of their weapons and armor. While there is a lot of grinding to obtain this material, the gameplay loop makes things fun, and there are several creatures that drop this reagent. However, before attempting a fight against these colossal inhabitants of the New World, you’ll need some preparation, patience, and a lot of skill to bring these monsters down.

Conflagrant Sacs drop from many Master Rank Hunts. This means you’ll need to progress the base game’s story and some Iceborn quests, too. Yet, once you reach this part of the title, you’ll reach the endgame and can start working to get some rare items to craft and upgrade some of the best weapons and armor in the game. To get Conflagrant Sacs, you need to tackle the following monsters:

  • Rathian
  • Pink Rathian
  • Gold Rathian
  • Rathalos
  • Azure Rathalos
  • Silver Rathalos
  • Anjanath
  • Lavasioth
  • Uragaan
  • Yian Garuga

Also, most Master Rank hunts of the above creatures have a 20% chance of rewarding players with a Conflagrant Sac. However, given the low chance, we recommend grinding any of the above in different order to avoid feeling burnt out, no pun intended. However, if we had to stick with one creature to grind, we’d go for the Anjanath.

How To Use Conflagrant Sacs

The Conflagrant Sac is an upgrade material in Monster Hunter World, and you can use it to improve items of the Anjanath and Rathalos weapon trees. For armor, you’ll require a few of these materials if you want the Alpha and Beta versions of the Anja, Rathian, Rath Heart, Artian, Lavasioth, and Rathalos armor sets. Most armor upgrades require 3 to 4 Conflagrant Sacs, meaning there’s a lot of grinding to do.

Furthermore, if you want to make fights easier, we recommend crafting any water weapon. Most monsters on the list are weak to that element, and whether you want to capture or hunt them, these water-infused armaments are the way to go.

Finally, for those who want to reach the Master Rank as fast as possible, we recommend sticking to the Defender Weapons and Armor. These are some catch-up items that’ll take you to Iceborne quickly. If not, take your time and enjoy everything this game has. From investigations to hunts and even some fun optional quests, there’s a lot to do in the New World as a member of the Fifth Fleet.
