Coupons make the world go round in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and you need them for the most important part of combat: ensuring your weapons don’t jam. As it is, repair costs for weapons are sky-high, and you’ll be running out of Coupons sooner than you think. So, we’ve compiled some of the most efficient ways to earn and farm Coupons in STALKER 2 to keep the money flowing and the bullets flying.
Best Activities for Farming Coupons in STALKER 2
Consider this your Coupon farming loop and they can be separate activities from side quests. To be completely honest, some of the side quests in the game don’t even reward that much so you’re better off target farming Coupons.
- Artifact hunting – Artifacts fetch a good price, so make sure to ask all the NPCs what’s new in the Zone. Some of them might point you to caves that contain artifacts.
- Selling supplies – By supplies, we mean excess ammo, food, energy drinks, grenades, or even liquor. Don’t bother selling big weapons as they’re heavy and they don’t sell for much.
- Selling pistols and small shotguns – Not all weapons are useless for selling. Pistols are smaller and lighter, as are sawed-off shotguns. If you find yellow-durability ones, pick them up to sell.
- Stash hunting – Open your map and look for stash POIs. They contain lots of goodies and sometimes, they even have pristine weapons (which you can sell if you have duplicates).
These four activities are some of what I do to ensure that I get a constant supply of Coupons for either repairs or upgrades. But even then, the economy in STALKER 2 is rough and sometimes doesn’t make sense. So on top of those activities above, you’ll want to be stingy with your Coupons.
The best way to save on Coupons is to avoid getting shot at or getting attacked. You don’t want to shoot too much or spend too many bullets or your weapon repair costs will eat up the Coupons. Thus, a weapon with a scope goes a long way (no pun intended).
