Looking to get Dazzlefruit in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Similar to Shock Fruit, this material comes in handy when you’re needing to temporarily stun enemies in the heat of battle. More importantly, it can be a key ingredient in several different cooking recipes. Although, Dazzlefruit mainly spawns in just two general areas in the open-world RPG. Here’s how you can get Dazzlefruit and what the food does in Tears of the Kingdom.

While a highly useful resource, you can get Dazzlefruit fairly early on into Tears of the Kingdom. The material is primarily located all around the Central Hyrule region, with many placed around the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins area that is north of Lookout Landing. Additionally, Dazzlefruit can be found in bundles on several Sky Islands. For instance, there is a large amount of fruit near Kadaunar Shrine in the South Eldin Sky Archipelago (as marked below). Other lesser-known Dazzlefruit locations can be found within almost all islands around Hyrule Ridge Sky and Central Hyrule Sky.

Dazzlefruit is also incredibly easy to spot from afar. The resource hangs on small yellow trees that sparkle whenever Link is nearby. You can expect each of the trees to carry at least three Dazzlefruit. Those desiring to farm the fruit can even have Link rest at least a full day in order for it to grow back on trees.

On its own, one piece of the Dazzlefruit item restores a quarter of a heart for Link—but there’s more than meets the eye. For one, you can cook it to create Simmered Fruit, which restores one additional heart. It is also a part of recipes for Fruit Cake, Steamed Fruit, and the Fruit and Mushroom Mix. During combat, Dazzlefruit is able to blind enemies for up to five seconds once it is broken. This is done by fusing the material to any shield, arrow, or weapon and then simply having an enemy make contact with it. The item even lends a small stat boost to a weapon’s strength until it breaks on impact.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
