The Teal Mask DLC brings a lot of new content to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. To find it, you’ll have to go on a school trip to the land of Kitakami. New characters, quests, items, and of course, Pokemon await you there. Some of them are new, but most are familiar to you from previous games in the series. For example, you can encounter a Water-type Pokemon called Basculin in one of the bodies of water. It has good moves, but more importantly, without it, you won’t be able to get Basculegion. So, read on to learn about the Basculin location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask.

Kitakami is a vast location with different biomes and Pokemon that live there. So it may take you a lot of time to search to find a certain species. Luckily, Water-type Pokémon are only found in bodies of water. In the case of Basculin in The Teal Mask, we recommend you get to Timeless Woods. On the west side of the Woods, you will find a small lake where you can easily catch Basculin.

Since Basculin is a Water-type Pokemon, you need to use Grass or Electric-type Muva to deal a lot of damage to it. You can also use Quick Ball to have a higher chance of catching a Pokemon on your first turn. Once you have it, you can start evolving it into Basculegion.

How To Evolve Basculin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Basculin has a rather unusual requirement for evolution. It should get almost 300 recoil damage without fainting and then level up to evolve into Basculegion in The Teal Mask. It may seem like a difficult challenge, but in reality, it is much simpler.

All you have to do is put Basculin first on your team. Then, use the Double Edge move in battle to get recoil damage. We recommend that you fight Pokemon like Indeedee. Also, don’t forget to restore your health after each fight, because if Basculin faints, you will have to start over. After that, give Rare Candy or Exp. Candy for your Pokemon to level up and evolve into Basculegion in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. But it’s worth noting that depending on the gender of Basculin, you can get two different evolving versions.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to find the Basculin location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask. This Pokemon can become a useful member of your team, so follow our tips to get it without any problems.
