Obviously, any long-time GTA Online players know that you can easily get God Mode through the use of illegal mods and even in-game glitches; I’m sure you have been harassed by one of the cheaters during your three digits playtime. However, in early 2023, the GTA Online community found not just one, but two different God Mode glitches. Let’s look at the methods to get the God Mode glitches in GTA Online in 2023.
1. GTA Online 2023 Taxi Work God Mode Glitch
God Mode glitches have always been around, but unfortunately for legit players, the Taxi Work Update introduced a new method that is easy to pull off and has no prerequisite. Even someone who just joined the game yesterday can use it. Here’s how you can get the GTA Online Taxi Work God Mode glitch:
- Head over to the Taxi Work Job at the Downtown Cab Co.’s.
- Walk to the white mission marker.
- While accepting the Job, hold down the Exit Vehicle button (Triangle/Y/F key).
- If your character ends up spawning underneath the map, that means the God Mode glitch worked.
- Once your character spawns normally again, the God Mode glitch will be activated.
2. Solo Session God Mode Glitch

The second one is relatively harmless, considering it seems to only work in Solo Sessions. According to Sportskeeda, early this January 2023, a YouTuber called Zert Mania found another way to get God Mode, as seen above– although it’s much more convoluted than the previous method.
First, you must be in a Solo or Invite Only Session. Then go to the Maze Bank Arena and look for the ticket booth where you can purchase a Spectator Box ticket. Once you’re there:
- Open the Interaction Menu.
- Go to the Map Blip Options.
- Change the Arena War Series option to Show.
Afterward, call any Contact on your cellphone that can give you a Job while you’re there. Then you might want to open the Weapon Wheel and select your favorite weapon since the God Mode glitch restricts Weapon Wheel access. However, Narayan Mahabir, a commenter on Zert Mania’s video mentioned that you can actually switch weapons by entering a car and keep pressing Square until you get the weapon you want. Still, better safe than sorry.
Once that’s all done with:
- Open the Pause Menu.
- Go to the Online tab.
- Select the Options menu.
- Set the Matchmaking settings to Closed.
- Buy an Arena Spectator Box ticket from the booth.
Now, according to Zert Mania, PlayStation 5 players will want to search and join the Session of a user named “ANAWACK1P5”; while PlayStation 4 players would want to join “ANAWACK21P4.” For Xbox and PC players, you will have to join a Friend in a Private Session instead.
When you’re trying to join the aforementioned Session, two confirmation screens will pop up — quickly accept the prompt by double-pressing the confirmation button fast! You will be taken to the cloud and asked to return to GTA Online, but when you press Continue, you will be back in the previous Solo Session but has no HUDs. The method is not over yet, though! What did I say about it being very convoluted?
At this point, try to enter any parked car you can find. But before you enter the car (just as your character opens the door), cancel the entire process by walking away instead. Then hover over the specified Job from Open Jobs on your phone without starting it. Head back to the car, and press the Exit Vehicle and Job Launch buttons at the same time. Now when the car engine starts, try doing anything that damages your health — if you can survive them without a scratch, congratulations, you have activated the God Mode glitch.
As mentioned before, although using God Mode is cheating, at least this one only works in Solo Session and comes with a caveat like the removed HUD. So legit players (that have a bit of time on their hands) might want to use this one when running some Jobs.
