After you get to a certain point in your gameplay, it becomes rather obvious that if you’re playing the Hunter class there’s not much you can do in terms of crafting armor in Enshrouded without having a material called Linen. Now, it seems like it’d be a rather easy thing to do, right? You can find Torn Cloth, so why can’t you just pick up some Linen off an enemy here and there? It’s not that simple, unfortunately. In order to get Linen, you’ll need to do some questing, find a crafting station, and then craft it using resources that are relatively rare in the early-game stages.
How To Unlock Linen Crafting in Enshrouded
Unlocking Linen crafting can take some time in Enshrouded. Not only do you need to find the Hunter NPC, but you’ll also need to complete one of her quests. Don’t be surprised if you need to respawn a few times and rethink your strategies. Completing the Hunter’s Hand Spindle Quest can be pretty tricky.
For the quest, you’ll need to head as far North as the Abandoned Hunter’s Camp, then head inside a cave there to collect the Hunter’s Hand Spindle from an area that’s entirely infested with poisonous spiders who will probably do a number on you. However, if you’re having issues getting through them, try taking a fire wand. It hits them much harder than my arrows did and kept their numbers down while I grabbed the Spindle and fast-traveled back home.

How To Craft Linen
- Linen
- Crafted at Hand Spindle
- 2x Flax
You’ll need to collect Flax in order to craft Linen. Luckily, it can be found around the same area where you picked up the Hand Spindle. Your best bet is to put down a Flame Altar around that area so you can easily go back and forth when collecting resources for crafting.
