With the latest update, the game welcomes new and exciting characters like the always-eager Mirabel from the incredibly popular Encanto. But she’s not just waiting for you. We’ll show you how you can unlock Mirabel in Disney Dreamlight Valley and welcome her to join your other friends.
How to Get Mirabel in Disney Dreamlight Valley
It’s hard to avoid the fever that Encanto continues to bring to the world. It left many Disney Dreamlight Valley players surprised when no one from the film was yet featured in the game. Well, that all changes now as we can welcome Mirabel.
Surprisingly, Mirabel does not have her own realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Instead, she is already technically in the Valley. You just have to go through a process to unlock her. It occurs during “The Golden Doorknob” quest.
To get to Mirabel, complete the following steps:
- Find and bring the Golden Doorknob to Merlin
- Complete the assigned tasks from Merlin
- Speak to Merlin and bring him the requested Dreamlight
- Place Casita and unlock Mirabel
With our first step, you want to head to Peaceful Meadow to locate the Golden Doorknob on the ground. It’s shining so you can’t miss it if you look. From there, take it to Merlin, and he will mention Mirabel and Casita had long disappeared in Disney Dreamlight Valley. He believes you must prove to Casita that the Valley is safe for the pair to return.
To get this done, you must complete the assigned tasks:
- Take a picture with 3 different villagers
- Give a favorite gift to 2 different villagers
- Have a daily discussion with 2 different villagers

These aren’t difficult tasks to complete. In fact, you can stick around one of your friends to tackle multiple steps. For example, you can take a picture with a specific villager, give them their favorite gift, and have a daily discussion with them. This gets you halfway done with the quest without having to roam anywhere.
Now, if we want to get Mirabel in Disney Dreamlight Valley, we also have to amass some Dreamlight. Thankfully, Merlin does not ask for much. Once you complete those three tasks, return to him, and he will mention that you need 500 Dreamlight for Casita. If you already have it, this part of the quest is completed right away.
All that is left is to find a place for Casita. Now, Caista is big. So you need to ensure you have enough room to place them. When you do, Mirabel will appear out of the fountain. Simply talk to her, and the quest wraps up.
