The game offers you to collect many items, some of which are cooking ingredients while others are used for dying purposes. Also, other materials, such as Shock Fruit, have a fusing effect once you use it on weapons other than using as an ingredient. However,  Monster Extract is mainly used as a cooking ingredient and for dying purposes. This guide will tell you how to get Monster Extract in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Getting Monster Extract in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You can get Monster Extract in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from Kilton, the monster parts merchant at Deep Akkala region in the northeast part of the map. You must reach him at night since he only appears at night. However, you must complete his brother Koltin’s quests to unlock the Monster shop first. Once you have completed the quest, Kilton will appear in the following locations, and you can identify his shop from a distance with a colorful balloons-type shop. Once you unlock the Monster Parts Shop, you will find him in the following locations.

  • Hateno Village
  • Zora’s Domain
  • Lurelin Village
  • Rito Village
  • Gerudo Town

Also, some players had been able to buy Monster Extract in the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom from Fyson at Tarrey Town. You can buy the ingredient for 50 Rupees from his shop.

What Is Monster Extract?

Monster Extract is an essential item for cooking, especially for preparing Monster Cake, and this cake is necessary if you plan to complete the A Parent’s Love Side Quest. Also, you can use it for other recipes such as Monster Curry, Monster Rice Balls, Monster Soup, and Monster Stew. The selling price of this ingredient is 3 Rupees. The Monster Extract is a result of Kilton’s experiments on Monsters, and also, it can be used for dying purposes. For example, you can make purple dye by using the Monster Extract.

Getting Monster Extract in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on your hand is crucial not only because it is used for many cooking recipes but also because it is necessary for completing some side quests. First, however, you must grind in the game for a bit, meeting the requirement before obtaining it. Although it is not easy, many players prefer to grind for it as they find a sense of achievement after getting the ingredient.
