How to Get Orokin Reactor in Warframe (Orokin Reactor Farm)

AKA Potato

Mods are the key to a Warframe that zooms and zaps around the map, squashing enemies like mere insects. However, to get to that point in Warframe where most missions are just nuisances in the might of your compact superweapon, you need an Orokin Reactor, or several of them. They allow you to slot in more Mods in your Warframes, and naturally, you will want to farm them in advance. Here’s how to get and farm Orokin Reactor in Warframe.

Nightwaves are the Most Consistent Source

Prior to the existence of Nightwaves, most Warframe players had to wait for events that reward Orokin Reactor blueprints and build them manually. However, things are easier for the young ‘uns these days. Below is a step-by-step process of what you have to do to get Orokin Reactors from Nightwaves:

  1. Go to your Liset’s navigation terminal, and open the Nightwave tab.
  2. Check the Daily/Weekly Acts to see which ones you can complete the fastest.
  3. Complete these acts until you achieve 10,000 points.
  4. Keep achieving 10,000 points until you unlock a Nightwave Cred milestone (these come in x50 or x150 bundles).
  5. Once you have at least 75 Nightwave Cred, open Cred Offerings in the Nightwave menu.
  6. Select the Orokin Reactor and buy an amount that suits your needs.

I advise you to refrain from purchasing too many because there are other resources in the Cred Offerings that you might need, such as Nitain or Kuva. You also might have to advance your Nightwave battle pass several times before you can get to a Nightwave Cred milestone.

The thing is, Nightwave Cred can be tedious to obtain as certain acts in the Nightwave battle pass don’t refresh daily. Moreover, Creds are also finite. So having alternative Orokin Reactor farms is also a good idea to increase your sources.

Orokin Reactor Blueprint Alternative Farms

This is for Blueprints, by the way, so even if you stockpile a bunch of them, you still need to craft them. However, while they’re less consistent because some of them rely on RNG, the following activities can be an infinite pool of Orokin Reactor Blueprints.

Activity (Availability)Reward Mode
Sorties (daily)RNG/Random
Daily Tribute (login, rare)RNG/Random
Archon HuntsRNG/Random
Gift of the Lotus Alerts (periodic)Guaranteed
Invasions (rare)Guaranteed
Tactical Alert (periodic)Guaranteed

Acrithis in Duviri takes my vote for the next best alternative to Nightwave. However, bear in mind that this is just an Orokin Reactor Blueprint, not a fully-built product and it takes 24 hours to craft.

Once you have the blueprint, here’s what it needs for crafting:

Morphics
Neural Sensors
Neurodes
Orokin Cell
35,000 Credits

Warframe is available on PC (Windows), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
