You can get the Sword of the Hero in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in Muzazu Lightroot in Hyrule Ridge Depths. First, you must enter the depths from the Great Plateau West Chasm and head northeast of the depts to reach Muzazu Lightroot. Here are the steps you need to follow.

  1. Once you reach Muzazu Lightroot, head south and reach the Dalite Grove.
  2. Find a large hollowed tree stump with a Gloom infected tree inside.
  3. Find the chest in front of the Gloom infected tree.
  4. Open the chest and obtain the Sword of the Hero.

The exact location of the chest is shown on the above map. Also, if you have the 8bit Link amiibo, you can scan it and get the Sword of the Hero in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. But, you are not guaranteed to get it on your first try.

The Sword of the Hero is a powerful weapon with a rich history. This one-handed weapon boasts a base attack of 17.
