With Genshin Impact 4.0, a new hidden achievement tied to a local boss has arrived in the Fontaine region – Vivianne of the Lake. You can unlock the Vivianne of the Lake achievement by defeating a Hydro Phantasm. However, it’s not going to be easy, as even the most veteran players are having a hard time facing this tough boss. Vivianne of the Lake Boss Location in Genshin Impact

Vivianne of the Lake can be found north of Court of Fontaine, near the border. It is hiding before a big cliff close to the teleport waypoint. You will see a purple magic aura on the ground, making the Hydro Phantasm easy to spot. The boss reveals itself with its blue form made of water. Once you find the Vivianne of the Lake location, you should not confront it without making a powerful team in Genshin Impact. We will tell you about all the useful strategies to defeat it.

How to Defeat Vivianne of the Lake

Vivianne of the Lake is a very tanky and deadly boss that can one-shot your units with its attacks. She has two primary attacks-a Water Cannon and a Water Laser. The Water Cannon is a short-range attack that launches a water stream at you, and the Water Laser is a long-ranked attack that unleashes a water beam across the area. Both are easy to dodge by crouching or sprinting in the opposite direction.

Your encounter with Vivianne of the Lake will take a long time as it has high HP and critical damage. Therefore, a shielder and healer like Zhongli will do the trick to keep your team protected. You can also use Kokomi or Jean, but Zhongli is the top pick against this boss. Dodging Vivianne of the Lake’s attacks is very important as Zhongli’s shield will break after some hits.

Since Vivianne of the Lake is an Elemental being, Hydro attacks won’t work against it. It has Hydro immunity, so you should use characters with countering elements. DPS units like Hu Tao, Yoimiya, or Tighnari will be perfect against it, as they are Pyro and Dendro. These units shine on single-target encounters, meaning Vivianne of the Lake won’t have much of a chance. You can also use Cryo DPS units like Ayaka or Ganyu. However, note that Vivianne of the Lake has immunity to being Frozen. Therefore, others will have a better synergy facing this boss.
