This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

One scenic region you’ll be spending a portion of your mid-game adventure as a student of the arcane is Marunweem Lake in Hogwarts Legacy. It holds your typical points of interest, such as Bandit Camps, Goblin mines, and Beast Dens, along with the peaceful fishing hamlet of Marunweem. Regardless of whether you’re doing a quest or simply exploring, you will need access to the lake’s region since you’ll pass through it to reach the southern half of the Hogwarts world map. That said, you can’t exactly fly over the mountains separating Hogwarts Valley and the Poidsear Coast.

The passageway you’ll need to take to reach the Poidsear Coast and then Marunweem Lake in Hogwarts Legacy is the Coastal Cavern. This cavern holds a few points of interest, such as the Tomb of Treachery, an Infamous Foe, and the North Poidsear Coast Floo Flame. For our goal of going to Marunweem Lake, the Floo Flame is the map location we need to reach.

Atop your Broom or Mount of choice, fly to the southernmost point of the South Sea Bog, south of Hogwarts Valley. Eventually, you’ll spot a Medium Bandit Camp. If you investigate the back-eastern side of said camp, you’ll notice an entrance into a dark tunnel. Do note that you cannot ride your Mount into this areaโ€”we tried. Instead, dismount nearby and then head to the entryway on foot. Also, be cautious of the hordes of mid-level Goblins patrolling the passageway.

You can fight through the hostile mobs, sneak past using Disillusionment, or simply dash through the dangerous tunnel without a care in the world (like we initially did). Follow the main pathway inside the Coastal Cavern, and you’ll soon reach the North Poidsear Coast Floo Flame. This fast travel point is next to a gorgeous view of the Poidsear Coast, where you can use your Mount again. From here, flying your way to Marunweem Lake in Hogwarts Legacy should be no problem.

To recap, here’s how you reach the Marunweem Lake region:

  1. 1. Enter the Coastal Cavern via the tunnel entrance at the Medium Bandit Camp in South Sea Bog.

  2. 2. Follow the underground passage to the North Poidsear Coast Floo Flame overlooking the region.

  3. 3. Fly to Marunweem Lake to access its points of interest.
