You’d be surprised by how useful Sacred Grapes actually are in V Rising. At first glance, you think it’s only good for crafting Blood Merlot, but it goes deeper. As you start to tackle endgame content, Sacred Grapes become increasingly important. Not only do you craft better Blood Potions with it, but they’re integral to some of the best gear in the game. The good news is that Sacred Grapes are relatively easy to get in V Rising.
V Rising: Where to Get Sacred Grapes
Like many resources in V Rising, you can either loot Sacred Grapes from specific resource nodes or grow them yourself. I suggest both methods as you’ll need a lot of Sacred Grapes down the road.
Now, to get Sacred Grapes in V Rising, you need to find Brighthaven Vineyards, which is located over in Silverlight Hills. If you look on your map and follow the Farbane Woods to the West, you’ll be funneled into the Silverlight Hills.
The vineyards there have rows and rows of Sacred Grapes growing on the vine for you to chop down. You also want to be on the lookout for large, wooden tubs that can contain a bunch of Sacred Grapes. I usually find them right next to the grape farms, so they aren’t hard to find.

V Rising: How To Build A CastleOf course, venturing into civilization isn’t exactly the best idea. Brighthaven Vineyards is home to hostile forces. The guards there are level 60+ and frequently patrol the area. The odds are pretty good you’ll be hassled while you’re trying to harvest Sacred Grapes.
Luckily for you, sometimes Sacred Grape Seeds will drop whenever you harvest the Sacred Grape farms. However, I had more luck finding Sacred Grape Seeds by entering the nearby homes and looting containers. You can plant them in growing plots, which you’ll find under the Production tab in the build menu.
How to Use Sacred Grapes in V Rising
Sacred Grapes won’t have much use until you’ve learned a couple recipes. To do that, you’ll need to hunt down some V Blood bosses, specifically:
Recipe | V Blood Carrier | Level | Location |
Blood Merlot | Baron du Bouchon the Sommelier | 70 | Brighthaven Vineyards (Silverlight Hills) |
Holy Resistance Flask | Mairwyn the Elementalist | 70 | Emberleaf Grove (Silverlight Hills) |
That may not seem like much, but Blood Merlot is especially useful given that it’s a much more potent version of Blood Potions. And the Holy Resistance Flask will lessen the effects of holy damage.
Out of the two, Blood Merlot is an exceptional item as its best use is in the creation of Onyx Tears. Those are required for crafting both epic ancestral gear but legendary ancestral gear, too. Who knew a measly grape would be the catalyst for some of the best gear in V Rising!
V Rising is now available on PC.
