Progressing through Spirittea, you’ll start seeing different resources on the ground from berries to ingredients necessary for cooking meals. Some of these items can be obtained via other means, like seed bags. Like most other things in the game, Spirittea doesn’t show you how to use this item when you find one. Fortunately, we’ve done the research and figured out how to get and use seed bags in Spirittea. You won’t need to worry about figuring it out on your own!

Seed bags can be found by chasing squirrels who then drop them. The seed bags are left behind for you to pick up and store in your inventory. In some cases, you’ll get a brief tutorial about how to do a certain activity. That isn’t the case for planting the seeds in the seed bag, however.

You’ll need to go to the bathhouse and, with the seed bag in hand, place it in one of the available dirt pots in the prep room. We show you exactly where this is in the image above. At the bottom right corner, of the room, there is a lever that dispenses water to all of the seeds you’ve planted in one go. Something else that the game doesn’t tell you is that you need to water the seeds in one go in order for them to grow. So, instead of waiting a few days and watering once a day, you need to click the water pump four times in a row for each of the three grow cycles.

When you click the water pump, you’ll see that there are four levels that the water can rise. You need to raise the water to the fourth level and then let it drop before you do that two more times. When you raise the water to four levels three times, then the seed will turn into a shinetop mushroom. You’ll know that you’re doing it correctly because you will physically see the seed grow. Unlike other features in the bathhouse, you don’t need to unlock the farming feature and it is available for you to use from the beginning.

To sum it up:

  1. Chase a squirrel until it drops a seed bag.

  2. Plant the seed in a pot in the prep room.

  3. Water it four times in a row in three cycles.

  4. Harvest your plant!
