While Animal Crossing: New Horizons isn’t getting any new events in the coming months or years, that doesn’t mean there aren’t things to do. As you might remember, the game got a huge update accompanied by a DLC that let you remodel homes. Besides that, we got some new NPCs, an expansion to Harvey’s Island, and more. Well, if you’ve already finished all that content, there are other things that you can try during the whole year. This is great, especially for new players that haven’t had the chance to try the game or weren’t there during the initial release. The Easter event of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is up, and one of the things we’ll tell you how to get today are water eggs.
How to get Water Eggs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
You might’ve noticed that doing your routine in the game gives you some eggs now. This can be a bit frustrating if you’re farming a specific material but don’t worry. It won’t last forever. Veteran players don’t like this too much and usually change the date of their console to skip the event. But if you want to play it and get everything there is, here’s how you can get water eggs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
- Fishing in the ocean
- Fishing in your island’s rivers
These are the only two ways to get water eggs as of now. You might’ve noticed that some eggs appear in certain activities, and the color gives that away. Water eggs appear only in water, sky eggs from balloons, and so on. This is also a good thing to know in case you want to farm all the other eggs that are appearing during the event. You’ll need to get all of them if you want to craft all the seasonal items.

Even if you’re a veteran player, it is good to know how to get water eggs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While you might already have the items, they can give you some good money if you sell them. We recommend selling the items that you can craft with all the eggs. These usually sell for more, which is a good way to put those eggs to good use. If you, not can always sell them as they come, but we recommend crafting something before. You can also ignore the event if you want, but given how many eggs appear during the season, it’ll be better to sell them and make some good money out of it.
