One Chapter 4: Season 1 Challenge that might stump some players in Fortnite is “Hide in different bushes that you threw down.” Bushes are not a new object in Fortnite, as they were introduced as Consumable Items in Chapter 1: Season 1 but were later Vaulted in Chapter 2: Season 1. However, this Consumable from the past is taking a new form called Big Bush Bombs, a throwable that can be hurled at solid ground to spawn a Bush instantly. Players can then use the Bush they created as cover to hide from enemies and complete the corresponding challenge.

To clear the “Hide in different bushes that you threw down” quest in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1, players first must search for Big Bush Bombs, which look like metallic grenades with leaves protruding from their openings. These bombs can be found inside Chests, Oathbound Chests, and Supply Drops, or they can be encountered as Floor Loot.

According to YouTuber Bodil40, the optimal way of finding Big Bush Bombs would be to land at the Named Locations on the Fortnite map since they contain the most sources of loot. Of course, players will need to hurry when searching, as they must compete with others who are also looking for these new throwable bombs. Once players have found several Big Bush Bombs, they can complete “Hide in different bushes that you threw down” by throwing the bombs at the ground to spawn different Bushes. Keep in mind that the same Bush cannot be used to progress the challenge.

Once players have completed the Bush-related challenge in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1, they can still use the Big Bush Bombs as a means of stealth to hide from or ambush opponents. If players are in combat, they can throw down several Bushes to distract their enemy. On the other hand, they can place a Bush near a hotspot with loot and ambush another player when they approach. Keep in mind that the Bush will not change its appearance or color depending on the environment. Therefore, it would be strategically ideal to only use the Bush in grassy or wooded areas, not towns or buildings.

Fortnite is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
