Love it or hate it, one of the staples in every survival game is inventory management. From games like Project Zomboid to Conan Exiles, they all test our skill to keep our inventory free of clutter; Return to Moria is no exception. With some amazing survival-crafting features, many players look for as many reagents and items as possible to bring back to their base to build something. Sadly, at first, you might not have a lot of space. But don’t fret because here we’ll show you how to increase the size of your inventory in Return to Moria.
Return to Moria: Increasing Inventory Space
So far, there’s only one way to increase inventory size in the game: crafting a better backpack. To do so, you’ll need to unlock the recipes first and gather a few materials. Thankfully, it won’t take long, and the upgrade is worth it. So, without further ado, here are the steps you must follow:
- Progress through the main story until you reach the Elven Quarter.
- Use your axe to cut down a tree and gather Elven Wood. This will unlock the Workbench.
- Head back to your base and build a Workbench.
- Gather 8 Hides by killing bears or other deer-like creatures.
- Return to your Workbench to craft the Adventurer’s Pack.
This little upgrade will increase your inventory size in Return to Moria to 25 slots, which is more than enough to carry more materials. If you’re playing with friends, it’ll be much better.
While having more inventory space is great, we recommend building a few bases to deposit some of your resources. The game encourages you to rebuild some destroyed buildings for you and your friends to find a moment of respite and an area to craft and rest. So, if possible, prioritize increasing your inventory’s space, and then head to Khazad-dûm to find these buildings and restore them to their former glory.
