While we’d all love to have our homemade factories full of Pals, they also have needs in Palworld, and one of those necessities is keeping their Sanity up. If you’re new to the game, you might’ve noticed some creatures getting tired or stressed, leading them to slack off at work. Since the game does little to explain how Sanity works, we have a few tips to keep your base workers sane so that your production doesn’t stop.
How Does Pal Sanity Work in Palworld? Explained
Sanity is an orange bar that appears whenever a Pal is working in Palworld, even those at your party. While it might seem unimportant, keeping this bar high is crucial to keep your base functioning. Also, some species are prone to get tired and annoyed after a while, so you must prepare a suitable environment for your little helpers. Here are some ways you can restore your Pals’ Sanity in the game:
- Build Straw Beds.
- The easiest way to restore your Pals’ Sanity in Palworld is by building Straw Beds. These pieces of furniture allow them to sleep at night and take a break whenever they feel tired. Some species, like Cattiva, need other distractions because taking a break in their bed isn’t enough. Still, having some of these beds around is useful, especially at the beginning of the game.
- Unlock Hot Springs.
- Once you reach level 9, you’ll be able to unlock Hot Springs. It’ll require a lot of things to build, including Pal Fluids, which are a bit hard to get, but once you have this furniture at your base, your Pals will be thankful. We recommend building at least two to allow different Pals to take a break at a time. Some of the Pals that lose Sanity faster are those with the logging and mining jobs.
- Swap your Pals.
- If you see a certain Pal that gets stressed quickly, swap it out. Luckily for everyone, many species in the game can fulfill certain tasks. Lamball and Cattiva are gatherers, so if one is giving you trouble, swap them for a different Pal.
