One of the first big quests you obtain in Baldur’s Gate 3 is called Save the Refugees. You will be tasked to go through an encampment of goblins led by three leaders. Like any situation in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can kill these leaders — Minthara, True Soul Gut, and Dror Ragzlin — or find an alternate way to deal with them. No matter your choice, you will want to know how to kill Minthara. Unlike the others, she can have more to play in the story and even be a companion. If you want to follow what the folks at Druid Grove want, then let’s get to killing the Drow.

Each of the leaders is marked on your map. In the northeast corner of the Shattered Sanctum, in a small room, will be your Drow target. You can fight her, which means getting through her backup goblins. An easier way lets you cheese the fight to instantly defeat her, even though it will close out possible storylines with her, from being a companion to leading her to Druid Grove.

Only a few hours into Baldur’s Gate 3, you will notice killing by throwing someone off the edge is the way to go, whether they are a boss like Minthara or a common enemy. This method is both easier and hilarious as they fall into a pit of darkness to their death. If you stay hidden, like up on the ladder on the other side of the room, or can use invisibility, you will have two ways to send the Drow off the edge. You can use an ability to throw her off, like an upgraded Eldritch Blast that can bump people 15 feet or Thunderwave. These can always miss, so you can shoot down the bridge when she stands on it for it to collapse. Either way, these are the easiest ways to kill Minthara.

Fighting Minthara in Baldur’s Gate 3 means two things can happen. You can fight her in the Goblin Camp, which will be easier. You can deceive her to lead her to Druid Grove, then betray her. This will be the harder option, especially as you will not have that bridge to throw her off. If you go for a straightforward fight, save Halsin first to have an extra member to assist in killing the goblin leader.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
