The Lion King Pride of the Valley update for Disney Dreamlight Valley has just dropped. And as you can expect, this update adds various brand-new exotic items that come straight from Simba’s home, including a very “unique” food, a Bug Platter. Hey, after all, fried bugs are a rather common food item in countries like Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Aside from that, you will also need to cook this to complete the “Eyes in The Dark” quest and bring Nala to the Valley. To help you out, this Disney Dreamlight Valley guide will list the recipes needed to make a Bug Platter and how to find the ingredients.
Disney Dreamlight Valley – Bug Platter Recipe
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Bug Platter stands as a 5-star meal requiring three different ingredients:
- Colorful Bug x2
- Red Bug x2
- Slimy Bug x1
You can cook this, umm, “meal,” in your own kitchen or any cooking spots that you can find. But if you want to use Remy’s Kitchen, then don’t forget to complete Remy’s Questline first!
All of the Bug Platter ingredients can be found in the Lion King Realm, and the game will tell you where to find each of them during the “Eyes in The Dark” quest. First up, the Colorful Bugs are available around the dried-out oasis. Equip your Shovel, look for dig spots on the outer edges of the oasis, and you should obtain some Colorful Bugs.
Next up is the Red Bugs, which, unfortunately, is a tough one to acquire since they will run away from you once spotted. You will need to use the Shovel again and go further inside the area until you find some tree stumps. Dig the tree stumps and they should burst out of the ground and will immediately run away from you. Chase and press the A (Xbox and Switch), X (PlayStation), or E (PC) to catch them.
Lastly, Slimy Bugs will spawn near Nala and Simba in the river behind them. Look for golden fishing spots. There, you can fish them out using a Fishing Rod.
