It’s always a thrill to unlock new characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley. But things don’t just stop once you get them. There are several Friendship Quests with these characters to help you connect with them and improve their lives in the Valley. Take Ariel, for instance. It’s a given that we visit our mermaid friend at her home in the water. However, you can get her out of the water. If you want to help Ariel walk on land in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must do a few key things.
How to Make Ariel Walk on Land in Disney Dreamlight Valley
If you know of The Little Mermaid, you understand Ariel’s willingness to risk it all to live among humans. Thankfully, we can help Ariel walk in Disney Dreamlight Valley without losing a voice this time.
Before you can get Ariel her land legs, you must unlock Prince Eric. From there, raise your Friendship Level to 3. This will unlock the “Part of his World” quest. Be sure you also have Maui, Remy, and the Forgotten Lands unlocked, as they all play into the questline. Let’s break this quest down into parts.
Part 1 of Helping Ariel Walk
Prince Eric will direct you to speak to Maui because he believes he can help Ariel walk in Disney Dreamlight Valley. When you speak with Maui, he tells you about a Shapeshifting Enchantment. However, you must gather ingredients for it. The recipe calls for the following:
- x1 Empty Vial
- x5 White Impatiens
- x5 Purified Night Shard
For the Empty Vial, you’ll need x3 Glass to craft it. Meanwhile, a single Purified Night Shard requires x1 Dream Shard and x5 Night Shards to make. In this case, you must gather a total of x5 Dream Shards and x25 Night Shards to make the amount you need. Craft the Shapeshifting Enchantment, found under the Functional Items category.
Part 2 of Helping Ariel Walk in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Now, we’re closer to helping Ariel walk on land in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Return to Eric as he’ll direct you to find a Nautilus Shell Pendant. This is because you must place the Enchantment on it for it to work.
Eric will give you Fish Gut Oil to take to Remy. This will help you make something to bait the nautilus. From there, Remy will instruct you to find additional ingredients:
- x1 Lancetfish
- x1 Crab
- x4 Onions
- x4 Garlic
You won’t have to make this, though. Simply gather and catch what you need and head back to Remy. He’ll help you make this to help Ariel walk in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Part 3 of Helping Ariel Walk
With the bait on your fishing rod, go to Dazzle Beach. You’ll catch a nautilus the same way you catch anything else in the game. Bring your catch to Eric so he can turn it into a pendant and place the Shapeshifting Enchantment on it.
Now, we can finally help Ariel walk in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Bring the pendant to Ariel, and she will instantly gain her land legs. To end the quest, just talk to Eric again.
And now Ariel can get out of the water and enjoy land once more!
