To cook bonus hearts food in Tears of the Kingdom, you will need unique Hearty ingredients such as Hearty Truffle or Hearty Radish. To find the Hearty Truffle, head southwest of Central Hyrule and visit Hyrule Field. But also, you can head southeast and collect this product in West Necluda. The Hearty Truffle prefers damp and dark areas, hence you can find it in caves, gorges, or at the foot of mountains. But because of its color, this truffle is well disguised as the color of the earth and is not easy to notice.

As for the Hearty Radish, you can also find it in the Hyrule Surface area. Head to the Seres Scablands, Wetland Stable, Torin Wetland, and some other locations and search the local grasslands. You will notice purple flowers sticking out of the ground, and you can collect Hearty Radish.

Finally, having collected the necessary ingredients, you can proceed to cooking. As we said earlier, all foods with the Hearty property have a Special effect when cooked. So, all you have to do is put Hearty Truffle or another similar ingredient in the pot to get meals with the Bonus Hearts effect.

For example, you can create a Hearty Meat and Mushroom Skewer by placing a Hearty Truffle and meat in a pot. Or you can make Hearty Fried Wild Greens using Hearty Radish with any herb or flower. At the same time, remember that the number of bonus hearts depends on the quantity of materials used in the cooking process. Simply put, the more Hearty products, the more bonus hearts.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
