As fledging Viking adventurers in the world of Valheim, keeping your equipment in tip-top shape is one of the most important things to do since they can degrade. To help with your journey, this Valheim guide will explain and help you with how to repair tools, armor, and weapons in the game.
How to Repair Tools and Weapons – Valheim
To repair your adventuring equipment, first of all, you would need a Workbench. So yes, that means, unfortunately, you cannot quickly repair tools and weapons on the go. Once you already have a Workbench set up, here’s how to repair those items:
- Put the tools, weapons, or items in your Inventory.
- Interact with the Workbench.
- The Workbench Crafting menu will pop up on the right side of your screen.
- Look for the damaged item you want to fix, and hover on it.
- A small hammer icon will appear next to the damaged item.
- Click on it to repair the item.
However, clicking on it once will not automatically repair all your damaged items to their normal condition; you have to click the hammer icon until all of them (or at least, all the equipment you currently need) are repaired. Thankfully, repairing items using the Workbench does not cost you anything, so you don’t have to fiddle with cheat codes to stock up on resources.
How to Craft a Workbench – Valheim
Now, we will explain how you can craft a Workbench. The first thing to note, though, while they don’t require any other Structure to be built before you can make one, it must be built under a roof with 70% Cover.
To make a Workbench, you’ll need 10 Wood. Once obtained, open the Crafting Menu (right mouse button) and look for the Workbench option. This Structure can be upgraded to Level 5 and gain additional functions by building these upgrades:
- Chopping Block:
- Wood x10
- Flint x10
- Tanning Rack:
- Wood x10
- Flint x15
- Leather Scraps x20
- Deer Hide x5
- Adze:
- Fine Wood x10
- Bronze x3
- Tool Shelf:
- Fine Wood x10
- Iron x4
