Before you can find your loyal hound, Mutt, you must first complete the Lackey side quest. You can trigger this mission in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 by speaking to Gamekeeper Vostatek’s wife. She’s usually sitting outside on a bench during the day. The woman will ask you to find her missing husband, who is likely drunk. Finding him isn’t the hardest part, as you will need to act as his lackey for a while. You will also have to fight a group of bandits at the end of this quest, so be prepared.

After speaking with the wife to start the Lackey quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, she’ll tell you to talk to her son to get more information about the gamekeeper’s location. This is an optional objective, but you can easily find him on the southeast side of the house near the archery range. He doesn’t want to talk about his father, but you can try to persuade him or bribe him with some coins. However, you can skip this part and simply head north to the location shown in the image above.
There, you must fight a group of wolves trying to eat the gamekeeper. Wait for a moment until he jumps off the tree and twists his ankle. Speak with him, and he’ll ask you to take him to his camp. He’ll give you questionable directions, telling you to head north. I recommend simply sticking close to the pond and continuing straight. On the way, you’ll encounter these points of interest:
- An old fallen tree
- An ant hill
- A birch tree
- A marked tree and a pile of stones
- Hideout

Vostatek will ask you to take him to the tavern during the Lackey quest. However, you should ignore him, as he will change his mind. Just keep heading north and follow the edge of the pond. You don’t need to put the gamekeeper down; you can simply continue carrying him until you reach his camp.
When you arrive at the camp, he’ll ask you to give him a drink. Then, he’ll tell you to find his missing horse Pepik. The animal has been taken by a group of poachers. Their camp is located southeast of your current location. Just follow the path and examine the clues left behind. You will eventually reach a rocky area where you need to confront the group of poachers.

I’m not sure whether a peaceful approach is possible since you need to take Pepik. I personally recommend just attacking the group. You can try using a bow and arrows first, as there are four of them. It’s a tough fight, so make sure you have good equipment. Once they’re dead, you can take Pepik back to the gamekeeper. He’ll thank you, and you can accept his offer to return to his house. As a reward, you will receive 80 coins for completing the Lackey quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
