Want to go to the dementor-filled prison in the game? No judgment from my end. Here’s how to travel to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy. The Hogwarts Legacy map is immense and includes the most emblematic locations in the world of Harry Potter, so the Azkaban prison could not be missing. But unlike other scenarios such as Hogsmeade or the Forbidden Forest, access to this location is minimal.
You can only and exclusively go to it during a specific side mission. The mission in question is called “Prisoner of Love.” It has to do with the ancestors of Cedric Diggory, who, as you may recall, is a Hufflepuff.
The only way to visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy is as a Hufflepuff. Only members of the Hufflepuff house can access this quest set in the Dementor-protected prison.
To access the mission, you need to be level 5 and defend a confident woman in the vicinity of the lake. After that, we will be asked to talk to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory. Diggory’s painting will introduce us to Helen Thistlewood, a former auror. She wants to reopen a pending case because, according to him, it led to the unjust imprisonment of a young woman named Anne.
To resolve his doubts and guilty conscience, Thistlewood can think of nothing better than to travel to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy. Once there, we can walk along its cold stone walls and see the dreaded Dementors. However, in the game, there is no trace of Expecto Patronum.
The mission is brief and ends as soon as we interact with Anne. After it’s over, we will not be able to return to the prison. Still, it’s worth taking into account before choosing a house. And reaching level 5 doesn’t cost much, so you can always start a second game as Hufflepuff just to get to that point and enjoy the experience.
