The arm of the law is long, but the arm of a determined Jedi is even longer. Though Cal spends most of his time on the run from bounty hunters in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, one sidequest gives him the chance to become the hunter. Bounty hunting is an optional activity, and knowing who to talk to is critical to unlock it. You might not have to deal with a slimy Hutt, but that doesn’t mean all your company will be savory. Things get wild near the Galactic Rim, after all. Here’s how to unlock bounty hunting in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
How Bounty Hunting Works in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
(Updated on August 26, 2024 – updated links, images, and format)
The ability to unlock bounty hunting happens during Chapter 3’s main story quest, “On the Trail.” This mission will give you two possible locations to investigate. To start, head to Koboh to investigate the ruins. During this quest, you will be ambushed by a bounty hunter named Korej Lim, who has Caij Vanda in his sights. This bounty hunter isn’t as formidable as other bosses you encounter, but here are some tips that can help:
- Use the Blaster Stance
- When Korej jumps into the air with his jetpack, hit him with a charged blaster shot
- When he’s grounded, strike with your lightsaber
- Retreat before he uses his flamethrower
- When he throws grenades, use force push to throw them back at him
How to Rescue Caij in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Once Korej is defeated, the mysterious Caij Vanda will explain the bounty hunters and how Sorc Tormo and the Haxion Brood sent them. She will then give Cal a Bounty Puck. After the cutscene, Bounty Hunting will be unlocked. Once this is over, you can visit her at Pyloon’s Saloon and spend a Bounty Puck to learn about a new target. The Star Wars universe is about to get a lot bigger.
Each target will become a rumor once you learn of them, and they will be scattered all around Koboh and the surrounding planets. Each target is a bounty hunter with unique skills, and they’re all considered boss fights. Defeating them will take skill and patience, as each new target is tougher than the one before. When you take down targets, you can speak to Caij and purchase new abilities and customization options for Cal’s Blaster. Take advantage of her help to unlock bounty hunting and give Cal a leg up on the Haxion Brood in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s end-game bosses.
