Upgrading your equipment is immensely important in any game, but in Enshrouded, it’s an absolute necessity. Some of the weapons you pick up can be quite useful as they stand, but wouldn’t you want to improve them? A good rule of thumb when it comes to weapons in a survival game is to always have more firepower than the enemy, even if it comes in the form of an actual fire wand. However, the only way to really beef up your weapons so they’re stronger than the opposing teams’ is to drop some upgrades into them using the materials you collect throughout your travels.
Where To Upgrade Your Equipment in Enshrouded
Before you can get started with any type of equipment upgrades, you’ll need to have some Craftspeople in your base. These are relatively difficult to get, but once you have them, they’re there forever. However, if you want to get started right away, you can start upgrading your Enshrouded equipment after just receiving the Blacksmith from his Ancient Vault. Once you’ve acquired at least the Blacksmith, place him in your base using the Summoning Staff, and you can get right to work.

This will take you into that person’s crafting menu, but it also opens up other choices for you to use as well. Now, instead of crafting anything, we’re going to look at the options available, and tab over to “Enhance Equipment.”Assuming you have the right materials, you can get started right away.
Each upgrade is a bit different from the others. Each of them gives you very unique improvements to your weapons, and each weapon can be upgraded more or fewer times than another, depending on its level and rarity. While you might only be able to upgrade a common weapon a single time, you’ll be able to dump a few levels into rare or epic weapons, and up to five upgrades into legendary weapons. Each upgrade costs Runes, which are dropped from Shroude enemies.
Enshrouded is now available on PC.
