In games like Destiny 2, where you can obtain and get loads of loot, it will become hard to manage all those items after playing for a long time. With the start of each season, there are tons of new weapons and items that players gather, and eventually, they will have so many items that managing them will become much more challenging. Speaking of the new season, make sure to check what we know so far about Season 21 of the game. That’s when third-party applications like the Destiny Item Manager, or DIM for short, become handy, and here is how to use it.
How to Use Destiny Item Manager or DIM
If you have been a Destiny 2 players for more than one or two seasons, then you already know the struggle of finding an item or weapon you want among all the stuff you’ve stored up in the Tower or H.E.L.M. Let’s say if you wanted to get the Sweet Sorrow from your vault, you have to travel back there grab the item and then continue with your journey which is simply taking too much time.
That’s where applications like Destiny Item Manager, or DIM for short, come to the rescue. This is a third-party application available through a website and app for Windows, iOS, and Android devices. Depending on which platform you are more comfortable using the app, you can download it via their official website.
What this application or website does is that it allows you to access your vault and inventory to check or sort them out anytime and everywhere you want. The best thing about this app is that you can easily move items from your inventory to your vault and vice versa. The only time you won’t be able to do this is when you have equipped gear while in an activity.
Apart from that, you can sort your inventory into various categories. You can sort them in weapons class, elements, or even perks. This way, you don’t have to scroll and look for a single item among the 500 or so items you’ve stored in your vault. You can also track your progress with each character and each weapon, check the inventory of vendors, and much more.
In order to use this amazing application, you must first install the app or simply log into the website. While doing that, the website or application will ask for authorization to access your Bungie account, which you must give in order for the application to know all the items you have at your disposal. Once the login sequence is done and the application has updated itself with the information about your account, you will be good to go.
