Mystery is one of the biggest traits of Marvel Studios, but the company provides calculated glimpses, whether it is a traditional trailer or something more creative. In a new image for Deadpool 3, we see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine wearing the classic comic book-accurate yellow costume with its blue accents to give it that extra pop (seen below). He does not have the cowl, but this MCU version gives love to the yellow suit from the comics that we never saw on the big screen. Maybe it is just the image; he could still complete the look with the cowl.
In the image, we don’t get any idea of what is happening in the scene. It shows Hugh Jackman in his Wolverine costume next to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Unfortunately, the dry environment of dirt and limited vegetation does not give much room to theorize, not that it will stop fans from guessing the context of the image.

Reynolds has no problem teasing his upcoming projects, especially when the Merc with a Mouth is involved. On his Instagram story, he shared the image with GIFs of both characters below it. He wrote, “Don’t blink,” as we see the short peak at what the two actors will look like in the film. Even when more covered due to the new suit, the returning X-Men actor’s body still shows how much training he did for the role.
This is not the first time we have had a look at the film. Late last week, images leaked of Reynolds in his costume, both with the mask on and off. The two separate shots had him next to a car in the perfect position to give us a clear look at the costume, unlike blurry or far-away leaks of other actors in costume.
The first glimpse at Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine in the yellow costume whets our appetites as we await the film’s release. Deadpool 3 will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
