An Indiana man says he was pulled over after police alleged that he stole a Lamborghini. But as he lays out on his own TikTok, this is actually his car and he was wrongly accused of stealing it. Now, he’s showing the “insane” way police pulled him over and what he did afterward.
TikTok user Galexvii posted the multi-part video online, which included him being pulled over by police, the detainment of his wife, and a visit at the DMV for information. Galex recorded the scene, stating, “I literally just got pulled over in downtown, guns literally out on my head, bro.”
This all happened after Galex had stated he was looking for parking. A police car was following him and, as he found a spot to park, ten police cars pulled up behind him with their lights and sirens. They had him step out of the vehicle, where multiple police raised their weapons on him and his family, claiming “lasers” were pointed at them. Police handcuffed Galex and his wife and, according to him, handled them aggressively.
Galex then recorded himself doing a bit of investigation at the DMV. He tells an employee what had happened to him, as well as the police claiming his Lamborghini was stolen. The DMV worker can’t believe what he experienced, exclaiming, “Dear God!”
What the DMV employee discovers is absolutely nothing. “There is no issue with the plate,” she says. Everything is coming up clean on her end and that the “plate has not been flagged.”
Galex laughs to himself in disbelief over the entire situation. On TikTok, he writes in a caption, “The car doesn’t even show up as stolen at the DMV, yet somehow I’m the one being treated like a criminal. Profiling is real.”
Viewers speculate on why Galex was targeted
Commenters on Galex’s TikTok video speculated on how he could’ve been wrongly pulled over, aside from profiling. Of course, talk of suing the police also came up in conversation.
One viewer speculated that it was because of Flock and or Axon cameras. “Probably Flock or Axon database says it stolen still.” In response, some viewers shamed police for using the software. “This is why cops shouldn’t be using 3rd party databases,” a commenter argued.
In addition to that, another TikTok user shared how Galex could find out for sure. “Get a lawyer. Sue the PD. During discovery you will find out if they you through a Flock camera or just their BS discriminating against you.”
One viewer suggested it was a problem with Galex’s custom plate. “It’s possible someone has a similar plate, for example L4MBO vs LAMBO or RICH vs R1CH.”
No word on if Galex will follow through with a lawsuit. If he does discover Flock or Axon was behind the flagging, his experience would be added to the growing list of Americans being wrongly accused of a crime by AI surveillance software.
