Beyonce is finally making her mark in the upcoming elections. Queen B is rumored to join Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris at a Houston rally on Friday night. However, the news is being taken with a grain of salt by members of the Beyhive, who were disappointed by her absence at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) months ago.
This afternoon, multiple outlets reported that Beyonce will be present at VP Harris’ rally in her hometown tomorrow. She will be joined by her mother, Tina Knowles, an avid supporter of Harris, and country icon Willie Nelson, who was featured on Cowboy Carter. It is unsure if the Halo singer will perform or simply just hit the stage like Eminem did recently. However, a rep for the Harris/Walz campaign confirmed the appearance of Ms. Knowles and Nelson on X. Nothing has been said about Beyonce.
The songstress’ hit anthem Freedom has been the theme song of the Harris-Walz campaign since summer. Beyonce reportedly gave the VP permission to use it. Hence, it comes as no surprise that her potential presence might be a defining moment leading up to the elections.
‘Does Beyonce Know This? Fans Mock Rumors Of Rally Performance
Unfortunately, fans aren’t convinced that the Houston native will make an appearance, given what happened the last time. In August, during the last night of the DNC, rumors surfaced that Beyoncé was due to perform, causing fans to hold their breath in anticipation. Sadly, the singer’s rep shut down the rumors, telling THR, “Beyoncé was never scheduled to be there. The report of a performance is untrue.” Now, fans think another prank is being pulled.
“I’m not going through this again,” lamented one Beyhive member.
“Remember when we all thought she was gonna be at the DNC?! I wouldn’t believe this until it actually happens,” declared another fan.
“After the last time, I’m not believing anything until I see it or she says it herself,” a third comment read.
“We fell for this trick once. Won’t get me,” a fourth fan penned, while another asked, “Does Beyonce Know this?“
With Beyonce’s reps neither confirming nor denying the reports, fans just have to wait until tomorrow to see what goes down.
